FaxCore's FoIPBOX Line Grabs 2009 NGN Leadership Award

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

In recent years FaxCore (News - Alert) has garnered many industry accolades for its fax server bundle Mini-Appliance product line designed as a plug-n-play solution for the fax server industry that is capable of operating on analog, digital or FoIP solutions.

Now, the Denver-based company’s lineup, which includes the FoIPBOX, Mini-FoIPBOX and Super-FoIPBOX, has added another notch in the award belt after receiving the first annual NGN Leadership Award presented by NGN magazine.

FaxCore, a provider of fax server automation solutions for enterprise organizations, telecoms, SaaS (News - Alert) and specialized ASP providers, was recognized in part due to its achievement in the IP Communications community as its services relates to the IMS and NGN environments, according to Rich Tehrani president of TMC (News - Alert).

“The NGN Leadership Award recognizes those companies that are transforming the industry with innovative products and services,” said Tehrani. “My congratulations to FaxCore and their excellence in next generation communications technologies.”

The FoIP-in-a-Box line id designed to provide easy to deploy solutions for migrating fax transmissions to an IP-based network. FaxCore is also focusing on virtualization with other new technologies like Dialogic/Brooktrout’s (News - Alert) SR140 FoIP fax drivers.

As TMCnet recently reported, this has been of particular importance for the company since fax boards are not supported in virtual servers, so all-software solutions are required. The SR140 product line is designed as a VM fax solution.

“By combining FaxCore 2007 the only true 21st Century fax server application with Dialogic’s latest FoIP technology, enterprises can now include fax as a unified communications component with a product that is simple to deploy, simple to use and perfect for migrating fax transmissions to an IP-based network,” said FaxCore President Tom Linhard.

In addition, the FoIP-in-a-Box appliances are part of FaxCore continuing Green migration. “The products are shipped fully assembled and ready for remote on-site installation with standard support and maintenance included,” said FaxCore senior vice president Max Schroeder.

Just last month, FaxCore’s FoIP-in-a-Box received a 2008 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC) Unified Communications (News - Alert) magazine.
