Patton, which designs, manufactures and sells data communications products, announced the company has achieved certification of the latest ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management systems.

ISO -ertified since 1996, Patton (News - Alert) manufactures business and carrier-class VoIP, network access, connectivity and video-surveillance equipment.

Made in the United States at Patton's Maryland headquarters, the high-quality, low-cost network equipment blends innovative engineering with cost-reduced product design and high-quality American manufacturing, the company said.

For the ISO 9001:2008 certification, the company earned a perfect score, passing the audit with zero non-conformities.

The audit was conducted by Intertek Group, which is accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board, the company said. The agency registered Patton's quality management system as fully compliant with the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

"It's a high bar," Robert R. Patton, president of Patton Electronics, said, "but we cleared it."
Patton also earned a number of recognitions from the industry. In early April, Patton's flagship product line, SmartNode VoIP solutions, scored its eighth major award in a five-year winning streak from TMC's Internet Telephony Magazine.

SmartNode was also voted the "most recommended" Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) or "SIP" public switched telephone network or "PSTN" gateway in an online community survey of Windows phone system administrators, company officials said. 

Patton will showcase its products during the upcoming "ABP (News - Alert) IPSizzles" conference with hands-on workshops for registered resellers. Beginning in Santo Domingo on May 5, the tour covers eight cities before reaching Lima in September, company officials said.
