Luxembourg-based VoIP operator voipGATE has announced it is teaming up with Tiptel and Patton (News - Alert)-Inalp for the distribution of certified and “highly qualified” VoIP equipment and connectivity.

According to voipGATE (News - Alert), the cooperation is an important step forward in the VoIP market, as customers will now benefit from joint expertise that will enhance their communications and assure greater hardware reliability.

“Our customers will have a direct benefit from our cooperation with Patton, and the guarantee of excellence at lesser costs. Patton’s solutions are completely reliable with voipGATE’s offers,” said Jorge Marques (News - Alert), COO of voipGATE. “This cooperation is essentially directed to businesses and tends to position voice over IP as a main communication platform. voipGATE has always positioned itself as a SIP Operator and has developed numerous relationships with main companies in the industry.”

Recently, voipGATE launched improved versions of its Web-based, Softphone, and CallBack functionality and earned status as an accredited Technological partner of the .TEL, Marques said.

Patton-Inalp – a two-company venture formed in 2002 when Maryland-based Patton Electronics teamed up with Switzerland’s Inalp Networks AG to manufacture and market the “SmartNode” brand of advanced VoIP products – is an international constructor of next-generation business-class VoIP products and broadband networks. Today, Patton-Inalp Networks AG serves European, Middle Eastern and African markets.

Tiptel is Patton’s supplier for Benelux and France.

Meanwhile, back in the United States, Patton Electronics recently launched its latest Ethernet extender – the RocketLink 3202 G.SHDSL EFM Customer Premise Equipment Modem.

Ideal for enterprises that want to achieve first-mile Ethernet services at up to 22.8 Mbps, RocketLink 3202 the helps bring carriers, enterprises and service provider networks up to speed. In doing so, Patton said its customers have an easier time rolling out profitable broadband Ethernet services to governments, schools, business and other organizations.
