VoIP education is going the way of home videos and disaster footage – its finding a place on YouTube (News - Alert).
3CX, an international developer of telecommunications software, has announced the launch of its very own YouTube channel which contains a series of technical videos dubbed “VoIP Nuggets”.
The short video clips will published on YouTube and will provide instructional training for anyone interested in learning more about 3CX Phone System for Windows as well as SIP and VoIP technology, according to the company.
The videos are presented by 3CX staff, the 3CX user community as well as industry partners such as Patton (News - Alert) Electronics, a business-class network access, connectivity and VoIP equipment provider.
The Maryland-based Patton, together with Patton-Inalp Networks AG, business-class network access, connectivity and VoIP equipment providers, recently received the 2008 Product of the Year award from TMC (News - Alert) for its SmartNode 4961 PRI VoIP Gateway.
The tutorials are provided free of charge.
“There are several Web sites which explain VoIP technology, however they are text based and often quite theoretical,” said Nick Galea, CEO at 3CX. “The VoIP nuggets are targeted towards IT administrators or computer resellers that want to get started on VoIP technology. The videos cover practical issues such as gateway setup, firewall configuration, SIP basics and so on.”
3CX’ VoIP nuggets are available from: http://www.3cx (News - Alert).com/blog/category/voip-nuggets/

In addition to 3CX’ VoIP Nuggets, 3CX also maintains a SIP / VoIP FAQ and a 3CX’ Blog. 3CX publishes its website in 26 languages and also maintains a Wiki.
Patton has also made several moves in recent months to build out its strategy to create a dynamic, technology business that endures for generations through creating solid business and personal relationships, while making a profit on every product, in every business unit, every year.
