For those of you who are avid visitors to VoIP Router community, and the VoIP Gateway (News - Alert) and Ethernet Extender sites, you probably know that host Patton Electronics is rightfully proud of a number of things that it believes provide differentiated value.  Foremost are its “Made in America” technology, free upgrades and support, and its global footprint. All three were on display in the past few weeks as Patton (News - Alert) hit the shows in the U.S. and in India.

VoIP and Ethernet extension take center stage

A good place to start was with the BODi rS™ line of Bandwidth (News - Alert)-On-Demand internet bonding routers bonding showcased with partner Data Connect Enterprise (DCE), a distributor and manufacturer of IT connectivity solutions and the parent company of several U.S. based distribution and VAD channels,at the annual DistribuTECH event in San Antonio,TX.  Exhibiting together, the two companies also let attendees kick the tires of Patton's new EFM DSLAM, Multi-Drop Ethernet, and Managed Ethernet Extension solutions.

And, in case you missed them at Convergence (News - Alert) India 2014, Patton CEO Burt Patton had this to say about the market and Patton’s plans for continued international expansion.

The globe trotting and new solutions for a variety of markets impacting customers in the enterprise and service provider spaces by Patton is indicative of the popularity globally of the move to all IP networks, including a reasoned migration for enterprises, and the push to extend broadband as fast and as far as possible by service providers.  And, just think, it is only the beginning of February.  It certainly appears that the predictions that 2014 will be a good year for VoIP, UC and broadband in general, if Patton’s activities can be seen as a leading industry indicator, are off to a nice start.
