Tata Communications Positioned as Leader for Carrier Ethernet Services in Asia Pacific by Forrester

Forrester Research (News - Alert) Inc, an independent research and advisory firm, recently recognized Tata Communications as a leader in its 2013 report titled ‘The Forrester Wave: Asia Pacific Carrier Ethernet Services, Q42013.’

Tata Communications (News - Alert) is a premier provider of A New World of Communications. Its Ethernet service portfolio provides end-to-end, transparent, flexible connectivity, with a wide range of topologies comprising of point-to-point, hub-and-spoke and any-to-any.

In the report, Tata Communications has been cited as having “the strongest current offerings for carrier Ethernet WAN service portfolio, providing high portfolio quality, traffic prioritization and granular bandwidth options.”

The report also showed that ‘Tata Communications is best suited for distributed firms that want very granular carrier Ethernet access speeds with gradated classes of service, combined with very clear service level agreements and service pricing.’

Additionally, the report also found that Tata Communications’ sales and sales support have a good market strategy that helps customers to obtain customized services designed by local sales engineers.

Officials said that Tata Communications Ethernet services are independently certified to MEF9 and MEF14 standards and are available on a global scale with bandwidth from 2Mbps to 10Gbps.

In October 2013, TMCnet reported that Bahrain Telecommunications Company, or Batelco, and Tata Communications have signed a collaboration agreement that will enable the latter to extend its connectivity services in the Middle East via Batelco's MPLS network.
