Provident Bank of Montebello, New York, has selected Lightower for a customized Ethernet network to support the bank's competitive strategy of delivering superior performance through technology.
Provident Bank, which functions within a highly competitive business environment, operates more than 30 branches across New York's Hudson Valley region, chose Lightower over other service providers for network scalability, reliability, security and superior customer support.
Thanks to deployment of corporate infrastructure on a custom Ethernet network from Lightower, Provident Bank will now be able to consolidate network services across all of its branch locations and unify the bank's networking services onto Lightower's dense, all-fiber footprint.Jim Florian, vice president for infrastructure services, Provident Bank, stated that, "We've identified technology as one of our key strategic assets -- our network is critical in helping us meet businesses objectives.” He added that, "Lightower's robust backbone supports our evolving applications and solidifies our infrastructure onto a converged network that supports the company's voice, data and video traffic.”
Florian said that this allows the bank to reduce costs for maintenance, support and management. It also enables to focus on other important areas like delivering operational efficiency, enhancing customer responsiveness and keeping the bank’s data secure.
Doug Dalissandro, chief revenue officer for Lightower said that since 2005, Lightower has supported Provident Bank in the delivery of exceptional services for its internal and external technology priorities.
"We understand the mission-critical nature of data to any business. In particular for Provident Bank, reliability, security and the ability to expand in the future are paramount as the bank continues to grow and evolve within a dynamic competitive landscape,” said Dalissandro.
Lightower claims that it offers its customers one of the most robust and dense all-fiber networks in the industry. The company offers over 20,000 route miles of network, providing access to over 7,500 service locations throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Chicago Metro with connectivity to critical international landing sites.
Earlier this month, PCCW Global (News - Alert), an operating division of HKT, Hong Kong’s premier telecommunications service provider, and Lightower Fiber Networks signed an agreement to establish international Ethernet interconnectivity (E-NNIs) between their networks, enabling both companies to leverage each other’s network footprint and offer end users additional networking solutions.
