EnGenius Technologies (News - Alert) has introduced a new family of Gigabit Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Smart Switches that makes it easier to deploy the company’s business-class indoor and outdoor access points. Initially, the company plans to offer three 8-port Gigabit switches.

EnGenius’ new networking solutions include EAP900H High-Powered Dual-Band N900 Indoor Access Point (News - Alert); EGS2108 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch including 4-Port PoE; EGS2110P 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch with 2 Gigabit SFP Ports; and EGS5110 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Smart Switch with 2 Gigabit SFP Ports. These switches will support long-range PoE-enabled wireless access points and bridges.

While the EAP900H is a versatile, long-range, ceiling-mount N900 access point, EnGenius EGS2108P 8-Port Gigabit Smart Switch consists of 4-Port PoE, and EGS2110P 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch with 2 SFP Ports.

According to the company, these switches will be ideal for startup and small to medium sized business. These companies can now easily connect power VoIP phone systems, IP cameras and wireless access points.

Apart from access points, the company also provides business class phone systems. Recently, it developed its DuraFon PRO cordless phone system for "harsh, complex" environments. With this, the company brought together DuraFon PRO system with the Jeron Provider Nurse Call system.
