Recognized as global experts in communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation and networking, Red Lion Controls has been delivering innovative solutions that enable companies worldwide to gain real-time data visibility that drives productivity.
It won kudos from the Automation Panaroma magazine for using its industrial Ethernet switches to control the Yiba Highway Construction Headquarters in China.
“We applaud Red Lion Controls for the innovative contributions it has made to advance the field of transportation infrastructure and sustainable development in China," stated the automation industry annual conference appraisal group.
This endeavor was honored as one of the "Top Ten Most Influential Projects of 2012" at the China Automation Industry Annual Conference, held in Beijing earlier this month. As automation and networking technology continues to develop and evolve, it will greatly impact not only the industrial industry, but also the worldwide economy at large."
The Yiba highway is very important as it connects Central and Western China by means of a series of highway tunnels. What is even more significant is that these tunnels are subject to extreme environmental conditions. Hence, an ordinary monitoring and control system cannot reliably interlink its headquarters with the remote traffic monitoring locations.
It was clear then that the Yiba highway construction headquarters needed a rugged industrial monitoring and control system to ensure that the headquarters were linked right throughout the tunnels. N-Red Lions Control provided the required Ethernet switches that promised to do the job. These Ethernet switches allowed the monitoring of traffic in real-time, re-routed traffic whenever there was an accident and helped organizations to reduce maintenance costs.
This was a real boon for Yiba Highway and its headquarters could now easily predict motor incidents, inform motorists about bad roads,
"We feel very privileged to have received this prestigious award,” said Michael Wang, general manager of greater China for Red Lion Controls. “As our company continues to grow and expand our portfolio, we look forward to introducing additional high-quality new products in the coming months."
