NETGEAR, a company that delivers innovative products to consumers, businesses and service providers, recently introduced the all new Universal Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender, the WN2500RP.

Available now in the United States starting at $89.99, the WN2500RP has been designed specifically to extend the wireless range and optimize performance of any existing home network.

"With the proliferation of connected devices in the home, consumers today increasingly rely on the strength and stability of their home wireless network. NETGEAR's new Wi-Fi range extenders make it easier for consumers to improve their overall wireless experience by getting the most out of their existing wireless network," said Damir Skripic, product line manager for connected entertainment at NETGEAR, in a release.

Officials said that NETGEAR's Universal Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender extends the coverage of both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi signals from an existing wireless router or gateway and provides consumers with the convenience of a flexible and improved Wi-Fi connection.

Easy to install and set up, the WN2500RP offers simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi which runs both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz bands concurrently, doubling Wi-Fi bandwidth and reducing Wi-Fi interference.

The Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender requires no CD or Ethernet cable and supports up to four wired to Wi-Fi connections, turning any Ethernet-enabled entertainment or computing device into a Wi-Fi-enabled device quickly and easily.

Additionally, consumers with the help of NETGEAR's FastLane Technology for range extenders are allowed to opt to use a performance optimized operating mode that is ideal for HD video streaming and online gaming.

In related news, NETGEAR’s high-performance DOCSIS 3.0 and EuroDOCSIS 3.0 N750 Voice/Data Gateways with concurrent dual band wireless are the first to receive certification from CableLabs (News - Alert) and Cable Europe Labs for the modems contained in these gateway devices.
