Webinar from Patton Explores How Ethernet Extender Services Can be Hassle-Free
By Juliana Kenny
TMCnet Managing Editor
Patton (News - Alert) has had a busy year with product innovations in the Ethernet industry, and is co-sponsoring the VoiceSA conference in South Africa to discuss the latest in business communication solutions.
The Ethernet extender solutions provider continues to explore the developments in the Ethernet and VoIP spaces, specifically holding educational discussions to investigate new products and offerings for businesses seeking out ways to improve their VoIP management.
In a webinar to take place Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. CDT (News - Alert), Patton will present information on how its Ethernet Extender solutions can “amplify long-range Ethernet over existing voice-grade copper wiring,” according to the company.
The webinar will be conducted in conjunction with ABP (News - Alert) Technology, and will educate listeners in what to look for when searching for the right Ethernet option. Ethernet extension can come with many hassles and strains for the user, but Patton will explore how to achieve “fiber-optic speeds without the expense and hassle of installing new cables or line-of-site wireless circuits.”
With the help of Patton’s leadership team and product manager for IP Voice and Video, Justin Ramirez, the webinar will benefit listeners hoping to transition easily to using Ethernet Extender services without disabling any operations or stalling productivity.
In a recent article from TMC’s Susan Campbell, she muses over Patton’s embracing of new innovations in the unified communications arena, specifically “being driven by the migration to SIP-powered IP telephony.”
“With the SIP trunking service in place, the enterprise can realize significant cost savings, as well as technological and operational benefits associated with VoIP when communicating outside of the organization. SIP trunking can be implemented either with or without replacing the organization’s existing voice network equipment, depending upon the unique needs of the specific business,” writes Campbell.
