ERP Software Provider Vormittag Associates Intros Upgraded S2K Solution

ERP software provider Vormittag Associates, Inc. (VAI ) has introduced its upgraded S2K Enterprise software suite featuring a new suggested purchasing module.


Thanks to the solution, businesses can improve inventory management, maintain a better product mix, and reduce inventory costs. In addition, they can effectively manage workflow triggers to monitor specific, mission-critical activities, said company officials.

Larry Murphy, vice president of research and development at VAI, believes that this upgrade will work to reduce costs everywhere from managing overstock to ensuring the best rates on shipping, while maintaining an intuitive user interface to ensure adoption and usage for our customers.

The latest version comes with a new suggested purchasing module that consolidates three ordering formulas into a central dashboard, providing an accurate view of product usage, seasonality and trending, and functionality.

"With S2K's upgraded suggested purchasing module, we want to ensure that our customers are as resourceful and effective as possible in their inventory management," said Joe Scioscia, vice president of sales at VAI.

Buyers can view min-max planning, EOQ ordering and vendor target formulas, and also they can manipulate these formulas and conduct “what if” calculations to determine which method makes sense for their business model, said company officials.

Moreover, using the dashboard, companies with multiple locations can review stock status and transfer inventory if needed. Company officials said that this will help to reduce costs brought on by over-ordering. Additionally, the upgraded S2K estimates carrying costs as to determine what value ensures the optimum buy.

Scioscia said that not only does the dashboard give a thorough inventory overview, but it provides multiple ways to determine cost-effective reordering and allows customers to select which methods work well for their business.

“The combination of enhanced features helps our customers make the best business decisions possible, cutting costs and simplifying the purchasing process,” Scioscia said.
