VoIPstreet, VoIP Innovations Create "All-in-One VoIP Provider"
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
As VoIP technology continues to emerge as ‘the threat’ to traditional telecommunications services, telcos are raising concerns over losing their grips on traditional services, and the industry is abuzz with new partnerships and innovations.
Industry partnerships enable companies to strengthen their presence in the market while offering new growth opportunities to partners.
In a recent move, two Pittsburgh-based VoIP providers, VoIPstreet and VoIP Innovations, announced today a partnership that, according to company officials will, “create an all-in-one VoIP solutions provider that offers both retail and wholesale VoIP services and boasts one of the nation's largest networks.”
VoIP Innovations (News - Alert), a wholesale VoIP provider with more than 20 years in the industry, offers U.S. and toll-free inbound calling and U.S. and International outbound to VoIP service providers.
A subsidiary of ABG Capital, VoIP Innovations boasts one of the largest nationwide networks in the industry. The service features a robust, fully redundant network that swells to more than 7,500 rate centers across the contiguous U.S.
VoIPstreet, with more than 10 years experience in the retail VoIP market, offers cost-reducing Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) or “SIP” Trunking and metered VoIP solutions for businesses of all sizes.
Under the new partnership, VoIPstreet offers its retail services under the VoIP Innovations moniker. The company, however, will keep its name on the group's retail solutions due to a well-established presence and track record within the industry, but will officially be under the VoIP Innovations umbrella, company officials announced.
“We think this move makes a lot of sense for both companies,” VoIP Innovations product manager and former VoIPstreet president Jason Tapolci, said. “We get to leverage the unique brands, service offerings and infrastructure to create a one of a kind world-class network. We really feel like this is an excellent opportunity for both businesses.”
At this year’s ITEXPO in Miami, VoIP Innovations announced two new solutions for providing incoming caller ID information for calls. This service can be used for VoIP Innovations originated numbers, as well as a standalone service for numbers terminated with other providers.
