Enterprise VoIP Without a Large Capital Investment

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Pittsburgh, Pa.-based enterprise VoIP provider, VoIPStreet, offers phone solutions that meet the various demands of all size businesses. From a virtual PBX (News - Alert) solution for smaller businesses, to an IP trunking phone for SMBs and even a Metered solution for enterprise users, the company isn’t leaving any businesses behind when it comes to enjoying the benefits of VoIP phone service.

Earlier this year, the company was on hand at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West exhibiting their Strategic Affiliate Program as a way for businesses to make use of VoIP without having to make a large capital investment.

VoIPstreet’s President, Jason Tapolci, told TMCnet in an interview that the company’s Strategic Affiliate Program is “simple and fair” and does not require any contracts and includes a complimentary Virtual PBX demo and test.

Not only does the company’s Affiliate Program help remove the need to make a large capital investment, but it also includes all of the technical infrastructure, billing and provisioning for customers.

Recent market research from Dell’ (News - Alert)Oro group, “Carrier IP Telephony Quarterly Report,” finds that despite a weak economy, even service providers are seeing bright spots in the market.

According to the reports findings, the carrier IP telephony market increased by 7 percent sequentially in the second quarter of 2009.

According to Greg Collins, vice president at Dell’Oro Group, business voice-over-broadband licenses on both softswitches and voice application servers remain a bright spot.

“During the quarter, softswitch IP business trunk, including SIP trunk, license shipments increased 33 percent during the second quarter and business voice or IP Centrex license shipments on voice application servers grew 85 percent,” Collins said.
