AudioCodes 400HD IP Phones should be Lync Compatible Before Q2

Microsoft (News - Alert) Gold Certified partner and leading provider of VoIP technologies, products and services, AudioCodes, recently stated that its 400HD IP Phones should achieve qualification through the Microsoft Lync Third Party Interoperability Program sometime this quarter. When the IP Phones are certified, they will become part of the AudioCodes (News - Alert) One Voice for Microsoft Lync program.
This program was launched in January and aims to simplify and accelerate voice enablement of Microsoft Lync implementations by offering access to a complete portfolio of IP phones, media gateways, enterprise session border controllers (E-SBC), survivable branch appliances (SBA), a session experience manager (SEM) and network management tools. The One Voice program has thus far proven successful, attracting over 70 voice partners in under a month.
AudioCodes' Lync-compatible IP Phones offer both high definition voice quality, a rich feature set suitable for enterprises and, of course, tight integration with Microsoft Lync. Features specific to the Lync environment include secured sign in and centralized provisioning via Lync.
"We are pleased that our IP Phones are expected to achieve Microsoft qualification, and already see solid demand in the market place," said Nimrod Borovsky, vice president of Unified Communications (News - Alert) at AudioCodes, in a statement. "AudioCodes now offers a complete suite of voice connectivity solutions for Lync environments, which, coupled with our enhanced management solutions and broad offering of professional services, will help our customers enjoy a smooth migration to unified communications."
AudioCodes' 400HD and 300HD IP Phones began their Lync testing in September with expectations of being Lync certified before the beginning of 2012. The Microsoft Lync Third Party Interoperability Program is extremely thorough, though. As such, these IP Phones will be completely compatible with Microsoft Lync when testing is completed.
The 300HD and 400HD series of IP phones will receive a free firmware update as soon as Lync qualification is granted, making them immediately capable of integration with Lync 2010.
