Voxbone's New Partner Program Makes VoIP a Little Easier

By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer

Many companies have heard about the benefits of VoIP, but getting the actual program put together is a little on the daunting side. There are a lot of options, and that can get a little confusing. But Voxbone (News - Alert), currently exhibiting at ITEXPO East in Miami, has announced something that's likely to make rolling out VoIP services a lot easier.

Voxbone's launch of the Voxbone Partner Program, makes it a whole lot easier to get hands on some important telecommunications features that make doing business, especially overseas, more cost-effective and efficient overall. The Voxbone Partner Program opens up the full resources of Voxbone and its partners--REVE Systems, AudioCodes, Matrix Telecom (News - Alert) and any others who may show up in the future--to help businesses get in on international telephone and toll-free services.

With the Voxbone Partner Program in place, telephone numbers for 50 different countries can be had, opening up the possibility of having a local presence in many of the countries that a company may want to expand to. Since Voxbone is already regarded as a leader in providing telephone numbers throughout the world, the fit with its partner organizations is sound. To that end, Voxbone has already tested its solution with several product offerings, including AudioCodes' (News - Alert) session border controller line, REVE Systems' iTel Switch Plus, and Matrix Telecom's Eternity IP-PBX (News - Alert), among others, and found them completely interoperable.

Meanwhile, the companies involved in the partnership are all happy to be working together as their systems are capable of working together. Voxbone's vice president of strategic alliances, Hugh Goldstein, described the multifaceted partnership as a way "...to help our partners attract new customers and enable new customer deployments based on inbound international DID and toll-free SIP trunking services."

Indeed, there's no small value in what Voxbone and its partners are bringing to the table. For companies looking to expand beyond their own borders, having an actual presence in the particular country that's a target for expansion is a great solution. It provides that extra note of connection that puts a potential customer at ease before considering that business. Dealing with "someone local" carries a lot of weight with some potential customers, so having that local presence is a great way to get in on the community at large. But establishing a brick-and-mortar presence can be expensive and difficult, so having a local phone number might well be the next best thing. It provides the psychological reassurance of a local presence, while at the same time allowing the facilities behind that number to remain on their own home turf. Some judicious subcontracting can have "boots on the ground" in the physical area, and the best of both worlds is realized.

Those looking to expand their services outward to other countries should be well-served by looking into Voxbone's partner program.
