AudioCodes Delivering VoIP Services to Poland's Largest Mobile Operator

AudioCodes (News - Alert), a company that delivers Voice Network products and VoIP services, announced that Polkomtel, S.A., a Polish mobile operator with more than 14 million subscribers, has chosen its products and services for their Genesys (News - Alert)-based IP contact center locations.

“AudioCodes' hardware met all parties' expectations for Polkomtel's project for the gradual migration of its multisite contact center from a traditional telephony system to a next-generation IP solution, based on the Genesys SIP Server platform using VoIP technology,” said Konrad Lelonek, Project Manager at Qumak-Sekom, a leading system integrator in Poland that implemented the overall solution at Polkomtel.

Over time, Polkomtel has been working to migrate its contact center from a mixed TDM/PBX (News - Alert) environment to a unified SIP-enabled environment powered by the Genesys SIP Server. According to Polkomtel officials, AudioCodes product certification and seamless integration with Genesys’ SIP Server made the migration hassle-free.

“Now, using AudioCodes Media Gateways, the IP contact center infrastructure can interface seamlessly with the PSTN and communicate with the remaining legacy infrastructure,” Lelonek added. “In addition, all Polkomtel's contact center agents are now using AudioCodes 310HD IP phones for their everyday work.”

AudioCodes is the only media gateway vendor that is included in the Genesys SIP Select program. The Director of Product Management at Genesys, Richard Barton, recently praised AudioCodes for increasing the efficiency of outbound call centers.

Polkomtel specifically selected AudioCodes’ Mediant 2000 VoIP Media Gateways and 310HD High-Definition IP phones for its call center integration.
