AudioCodes Launches Software Enterprise Session Border Controller
To address the growing trend of data center consolidation, virtualization and cloud computing, voice-over-IP (VoIP) services provider AudioCodes (News - Alert) has released a software enterprise session border controller (E-SBC), a software-only member of its E-SBC product family. According to AudioCodes, the software E-SBC has already been selected by a major unified communications vendor.
According to AudioCodes, enterprises deploying the software E-SBC will benefit from seamless connectivity to SIP trunking services, high VoIP quality and security of their network against malicious or fraudulent threats. As a software only solution, the E-SBC integrates into virtualized data center environments and addresses the needs for scalability and available connectivity of unified communications and contact center deployments, according to AudioCodes.
The supplier said the Software E-SBC embeds the rich capabilities already achieved with leading SIP Trunking providers around the world. The system enables the secured delivery of rich SIP communications services traversing islands and domains of enterprise unified communications.
"With this addition, our portfolio better addresses the growing demand we are seeing from software-only unified communications and contact center vendors," said Nimrod Borovsky, vice president of marketing at AudioCodes.
The company recently introduced a new Session Experience Manager (SEM), a software solution built to monitor, analyze, report and control the quality of incoming and outgoing enterprise voice calling over the Internet in real-time. According to a recent study by Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert), the world network performance monitoring and management solutions market with sales of $1.49 billion in 2010 continues to grow at a double-digit compounded annual growth rate, reaching $3.37 billion in 2017.
