Interactive Intelligence and AudioCodes Celebrate Ten Years of Partnership

Interactive Intelligence’s (News - Alert) Annual Users Forum in Indianapolis, IN. recently hosted many leaders in the contact center space, all who gathered to share industry developments and the latest news in the call center and communications space. TMC interviewed Alan Percy, director of market development for AudioCodes (News - Alert), a leading provider of VoIP communications services, about its recent celebration of 10 years of partnership with Interactive Intelligence.


Percy discussed the beginning of the company’s relationship with Interactive Intelligence, and how AudioCodes helped the company develop its SIP-based products as both grew to be more prominent presences in the VoIP market. Percy stated, “We went from a meet-in-the-market model, which is where our equipment would come from distribution and would meet up with the partner along with the Interactive software…As a result of that, Interactive was able to offer a single vendor solution.”

“It made pricing of products much easier, it gave much better control over the solution, and it gave Interactive a revenue opportunity to sell the additional equipment,” continued Percy. He explored the opportunities both companies have given each other in terms of the explosion of SIP services over the last several years, and the impact of recent developments on the VoIP and unified communications fronts.

He noted, “The biggest thing is probably when we went to network-based IP phones. The fact that we were able to take a call in one facility, and route it over a wide area network off to another facility has made a huge difference in the kinds of solutions. It’s helped immensely in our ability to deal with disasters and survivability.”
