Motorola Mobility Offers Budget Friendly Android Smartphones for Enterprise Mobility

In order to create experiences that simplify, connect and enrich consumer's lives for enterprise mobility, Motorola Mobility has introduced Android (News - Alert) smartphone with full QWERTY keyboard with touchscreen display, interchangeable fashion jackets and ultimate personalization options users expect from the fun and versatile Android platform.


According to a press release, the Motorola (News - Alert) XT316 is now available in China and will be available starting in mid-July in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Latin America and it will be sold throughout the rest of Asia and in Europe later this summer.

Motorola XT316 runs on Android 2.2 (upgradeable to Android 2.3, Gingerbread in the fall); Motorola SPICE Key and Motorola FIRE run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is equipped with dual-band HSDPA/Quad-band EDGE, 2.8" QVGA touchscreen display, 3MP camera, MicroSD card slot up to 32GB, FM Radio with RDS support, LED notifications, 3.5mm audio jack, E-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer and 1420mAh battery; eight hours of talk time or 30 days of standby in 3G mode.

Motorola XT316’s full QWERTY keyboard and 2.8-inch touchscreen display provide the perfect combination of tools for enterprise mobility including emailing, texting and browsing the Web. Users can stay in constant contact with friends and family through the social media applications. Motorola XT316 transitions seamlessly between work and play, with a friends-centric widget to make it easier to manage contacts.  

Motorola XT316 also comes with best-in-class battery life, allowing users to talk, browse the Web, text, play games and videos all day long. It has the Moto Switch user interface, which allows users to switch to a friends-centric mode when they finish work and head home for the day.

 In other company news, TMCnet reported that Motorola Mobility UK Ltd is giving service providers an elegant and cost-effective solution for expanding their service offerings with the new Motorola VIP1853 - an IP set-top with a 'click-in' Digital Video Recording (DVR) module.
