Portugal Telecom Rolls Out Enterprise Mobility and Field Service Management Solutions

ClickSoftware (News - Alert), a provider of automated workforce management and optimization solutions for enterprise mobility, claimed that its mobility and workforce management solutions have been deployed by Portugal Telecom (News - Alert).


With ClickSoftware solutions, Portugal Telecom will get a new ability to differentiate its services in the highly competitive de-regulated telecoms sector in Portugal.

ClickSoftware asserted that it provides a comprehensive range of workforce management solutions designed to help service organizations face head-on the challenges of inefficiency. With the company’s field service employee management and service optimization software, one can realize true optimized scheduling and real-time mobile communications.

Portugal Telecom added that its IT services company – PTSI, Accenture (News - Alert) and ClickSoftware Professional Services worked together rolling out ClickSchedule, ClickMobile, ClickLocate and ClickAnalyze over five months. In further phases of the project, Portugal Telecom will implement ClickPlan to plot longer term workforce capacity based on business strategy.

ClickSchedule enables service organization executives to define the balance between the conflicting forces of service operations efficiencies, customer satisfaction, field resource satisfaction and revenue considerations. Service operations can be enhanced with ClickLocate with the user getting the power to make decisions and take actions based on actual location information including, near real-time engineer locations.

The ClickMobile solution enables service organizations to better manage and optimize utilization of their resources in the field while the ClickAnalyse helps companies to determine the causes of problems instead of just detecting them.

Officials with Portugal Telecom explained that they are pleased to have completed the rollout. They have embarked, with partners, upon one of the most ambitious projects of this kind, especially with the implementation of such a rich business mobility solution.

 ClickSoftware added that it is delighted to count a pioneering organization like Portugal Telecom as a customer. Everybody worked very hard to get this system live and the end result is groundbreaking in terms of service management and in particular enterprise mobility.
