FileThis, the digital mailbox and filing service, recently launched its beta version. FileThis acts as the consumer’s personal digital assistant, and helps to keep documents such as medical records, bills, bank statements, policy paperwork and others, up-to-date, organized, secure, and extremely easy to find. FileThis has also launched its new FileThis Cloud and the FileThis mobile app, to allow users to upload, email, or photo-capture any document. The iOS app is available for download from the Apple Store in late February 2014, and Android (News - Alert) in April 2014.
Some of the key features of FileThis include, saves time as all the documents are analyzed, tagged and organized automatically, eliminating manual filing of paperwork; all the documents are stored in one place with a single login and can be searched through by date, account, keyword, tag (News - Alert) or other options; text searchable documents finds lost documents, even those from closed accounts or hidden files.
In a release, Brian Berson, CEO and co-founder of FileThis, said, “We believe the time is right for consumers to go paperless. We’re in the middle of a transition where some of the documents we receive as paper, some as digital, and some we have to track down and get ourselves – it’s out of control. We’re thrilled to launch the platform today, and help everyone get on top of their household paperwork.”
FileThis organizes files on the user’s personal PC or FileThis Cloud, or a cloud drive such as Evernote, Dropbox (News - Alert), Box, and Google Drive; hence the files are available instantly from any web-browser, mobile device, or tablet. The files are in PDF format and clearly named. FileThis enables consumers and organizations alike to be more paperless and efficient, with simple organizing and at affordable rates. FileThis offers different plans, including, $2 per month for up to 12 connections that run weekly; or, $5 per month for up to 30 connections that run daily; and the first six connections are free.
Some of the other features of FileThis ensure that documents are secured using bank-level security practices, including encryption, auditing, logging, and back-ups, and is backed by the Verisign security seal and the McAfee (News - Alert) Secure badge. Apart from this, the entire digital filing cabinet can be accessed any time through the consumer’s smartphone, tablet or laptop.
