Aerohive has taken the next step in being a company that enterprise firms can count on for a variety of different services. The company recently announced that it now offers the only cloud managed, mobile networking for the enterprise market that is available in the Apple (News - Alert) online stores in North America. This particular move actually strengthens the standing of both Aerohive and Apple in the business market.
For Apple, the computing giant is able to expand its presence in the enterprise market. That makes it an even stronger competitor to Microsoft and Google (News - Alert). Those two companies have long been thought of as the undisputed kings of that market with their office suite offerings. By offering up Aerohive’s enterprise level cloud managed mobile networking solution, more companies are going to turning to the Apple store than ever before.
Aerohive (News - Alert) (News - Alert) offers both a scalable and robust AP121 and AP141 Wi-Fi access points. This move actually lags behind the partnership that the two companies had forged in Europe. Apple stores in the EU have already had access to these solutions since earlier this spring.
“As Apple continues to expand its global footprint, today’s enterprises demand high-performance connectivity that matches the quality of Apple’s best-in-breed products,” said Bill Hoppin, vice president of business development, Aerohive said in a recent statement. “It’s incredibly exciting to have our solutions available in Apple Online Stores in Europe and now, North America - currently, the only third-party enterprise-grade Wi-Fi solution in Apple Online Stores.”
Aerohive has quietly and patiently been building its own brand over the last year. This August, the company was added to Cloud Distribution’s portfolio when it comes to next generation technology vendors. Cloud Distribution has networking contacts that will allow Aerohive to reach out and make contact with even more customers around the globe.
