etherFAX provides Fax over IP Capabilities to Imecom's Cloud-Based Enterprise
Cloud and IP-based fax solution developer, etherFAX, announced that Imecom Group chose etherFAX to cloud-enable its enterprise fax solutions. Imecom will integrate etherFAX’s technology into its Windows Fax Server and Virtual Fax Server product lines.
The etherFAX technology will offer a new flexible IP platform for enterprises to send and receive business-critical faxes over IP, using a secure connection. It will also provide fax over IP (FoIP) capabilities in a cloud-delivered service, lowering costs and avoiding the need to install IP telephony infrastructure.
“We are excited to offer etherFAX with our enterprise fax solutions, giving customers new options to leverage the cloud and support their fax communications cost-effectively and securely,” explained Shiva Parker, Director of Sales and Marketing at Imecom Group, Inc. “etherFAX offers a scalable platform that extends the capabilities of our Windows Fax Server and Virtual Fax Server products.”
etherFAX solutions allow current IP based fax server technology to interact over the cloud, which does not require a dedicated fax server or related equipment including fax boards, media gateways and FoIP drivers.
By eliminating these expenses – and lowering recurring conventional telephony costs – etherFAX’s technology manages incoming and outgoing fax communications over the internet. Using an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) model, etherFAX manages a vast array of virtual ports, allowing them to send and receive high volumes of fax transmissions.
Imecom was an early leader electronic fax messaging, founded in 1989, and now serves more than 11,000 customers worldwide. Its Windows Fax Server and Virtual Fax Server product lines manage the transmission, reception and queuing of IP-based faxes for businesses. The company’s fax server solutions can be combined with a business’ current IT infrastructure, permitting enterprise organizations to manage all FoIP communications efficiently and cost-effectively.
“Our partnership with Imecom reinforces the market need for cloud-enabled fax solutions,” said Quinn Corey, Director of Sales at etherFAX, in a company statement. “Imecom is a pioneer in the fax market and we look forward to collaborating with them and delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of today’s enterprise customers.”
