New Mobile App from eFax Allows For a Simple Point-Shoot-Fax
The new mobile app from eFax is a one of its kind app for the iPhone (News - Alert) in the UK market that makes the iPhone a virtual fax device, fully-functional, and one that can be used on the go by mobile professionals and anyone else. A brand of j2 Global (News - Alert) Communications, Inc., a cloud technology provider, eFax has now made it highly convenient to fax anything from an iPhone mobile device. It is a boon to businessmen and other professionals who have constantly looked out for cloud service providers to make their communications simpler, which is exactly what eFax has done.
The simplicity of the new eFax app involves a simple point-shoot-fax model, wherein one simply takes a picture using the iPhone’s high resolution camera, and then hits a button to send it as a fax. The app also allows for easy managing of faxes that are received or sent on the iPhone, allowing tagging, searching and archiving options. Some of the other abilities that this new app has brought to the iPhone include creating, viewing and sending faxes, searching faxes using the quick view or search feature, the use of customized fax cover sheets and populate them using the contacts list on the phone, archiving and tagging faxes, and finally the ability to send enhanced documentation through mail.
In a release, Paul Kinsella, general manager of j2 Global Communications, Inc. said that, “Increasingly, businesses in the UK are relying on the cloud for accessing information reliably and conveniently, and eFax continues to be focused on addressing the need for mobility and document management. Cloud services like eFax enable business professionals to stay focused, be more collaborative, and bring products to market more quickly because they've got access to the kind of infrastructure that only large companies used to have. The new eFax iPhone app extends the benefits and functionality brought about by eFax as a cloud service to the iPhone mobile digital device.”
