Play on a No. 1 Team w/ Ipswitch IMail Server

By Eve Sullivan, TMCnet Editor

In an ESPN (News - Alert) interview with Oregon State University’s head coach Mike Riley, he discussed how they achieved a recent victory over No. 1 ranked USC.

Riley said Oregon’s big start gave them the confidence to maintain good field position, score and get established on the ground. The Oregon Beaver’s defense made some third down stops and they played aggressively. Riley said they used their strengths and came to the field with an offensive play they’ve had success with.

“Our running plan going into the game was fairly simple,” Riley said. “We didn’t have a lot of different plays that we wanted to attack USC with, but we wanted to have plays we could repeat and change formations so our back could get used to running the play.”

Ipswitch (News - Alert), provider of the IMail Server, believes success is all about having a game plan.

IMail Server is “a first down choice for your messaging needs,” the company says. It is a preferred alternative to Exchange with anywhere e-mail access and administration via the intuitive web client. The easy-to-use, affordable solution provides customers with the features they need to conduct business with a convenient, secure, and flexible environment.

Unlike more complicated, large-footprint messaging solutions, IMail’s simple strategic running game is designed to place minimal ongoing maintenance burden on network administrators.

IMail can authenticate users from its own database, an active directory database, or from any ODBC compliant data store, making life easier for the busy administrator. IMail can also be administered from any location with a Web browser, and can be run on a single, modestly-powered server.

For small to mid-sized businesses, success depends on getting more done with less. Who else do you want on your defensive line in a third and short drive – but IMail Server, the company asks.

Whether you prefer the control of an in-house system or the advanced features, services and management ease of a hosted solution, IMail Server provides a touchdown experience for you and your users.

Ipswitch IMail Server delivers crucial communication and collaboration tools without the high acquisition and ongoing administrative costs of systems designed for large enterprises. IMail Server provides solid, scalable, standards-based e-mail service with Web-based access and administration. For more information, visit http://www.imailserver.com.
