GTX Corp. subsidiary LOCiMOMIBLE has announced the launch of a GPS tracking app for Apple's (News - Alert) iPad. Already, this app is at number two on the "Top Grossing Apps" list on iTunes' social network.
GPS tracking helps bringing people together by locating friends, coworkers and family. One can use GPS to share and upload pictures to networking sites such as Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter. It is a location based check-in app. It is already installed in several devices and also smartphones such as Apple iPhone and iPod Touch as it is cross-platform compatible.
GPS tracking app has many applications as parents can keep track of kids at school, with friends or on the go. Kids can find each other when they are in the mall, amusement park or elsewhere. Employers can keep track of their employees in the field or at a convention. Friends can locate each other across the country. It was considered as a futuristic concept a few years back but has become a reality due to the technological advances.
GTX Corp is an expert in this technology by making it available to athletes, healthcare professionals including shoes and now it has become a part of the smartphone. GTX Corp was founded in 2002 and is based in Los Angeles. The company has come up with many innovative applications for GPS tracking and is committed to work as a "better people finder".
Patrick Bertanga, CEO of GTX Corp stated that the user base gets expanded by 10 million iPad devices as the check in app is being installed there and the combined user base is expected to reach 100 million through its usage in iPhone and iPod.
LOCiMOBILE was in news last month when its GPS Tracking Apps for iPhone and Android (News - Alert) reached downloads more than 250,000 across 78 countries increasing revenues by 30 percent and shows no signs of slowing down.
