Avalias Intros Solution for Emergency Responders

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Avalias has launched a new generation of scenario-based collaboration software products for comprehensive disaster readiness discussion exercises.

Known as Avalanche TTX, the new solution is designed for incident responders across multiple agencies to economically and easily create and coordinate highly realistic and complex disaster scenarios.

Avalias designs immersive emergency training software solutions for homeland defense/response agencies and corporate continuity planners. The company helps users to identify problems, inter-agency coordination challenges, distractions, resource shortages and other factors that may result during events.

Once the response professionals are aware of the probable problems they can work towards minimizing mass casualties and increase incident response through strategic planning.

Tom Ferrentino, a recognized emergency management consultant for Federal agencies & markets noted that this new solution will aid both emergency responder organizations and business continuity planners to hit new levels of preparedness for emergencies.

Avalanche TTX will also help users to design and deliver scenarios in ways that are significantly more effective than traditional table top exercises.

Because the solution can also simplify and automate the manual and time-consuming aspects of preparing and running exercises, it further improves efficiency and results. Ferrentino said that this budget-friendly technology will work fine at a time when most enterprises are required to hit new levels of readiness with fewer resources.

The Avalias technologies has many customers such as New South Wales State Emergency Service. Its CIO, Andrew Edwards said that the company’s user-friendly, powerful and adaptable solutions enabled them to more effectively exercise and train for rapid response to flood related emergencies.

“We’ve leveraged our work with major Federal and State agencies around the world to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of preparing for the worst,” said Avalias CEO Harold Wolpert. “The result is Avalanche TTX, which makes best practice homeland protection and business contingency planning capabilities easy and affordable.”
