E911 Hosted Solutions Podcast: Customizing Businesses' E911 Solutions
By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor
Implementing Enhanced 911, or E911, services is no easy task. That’s because every company has different needs, wants and requirements, according to E911 hosted solutions provider 911 ETC.
In a recent interview, Theresa Stockton, operations manager of 911 ETC, talked about how the company’s hosted solution can meet the needs of various organizations – no matter their size or location.
“911 ETC’s hosted solutions is not a ‘one size fits all,” Stockton said in a TMCnet podcast. “We work individually with each and every customer to customize a solution to best fit the specific needs of both the customer’s telecom and their physical environment.”
E911 services use location-based technology to pinpoint the exact whereabouts of distressed callers, which often saves time for emergency responders. With 911 ETC’s hosted offering, companies have the flexibility to craft a solution of their very own.
TMCnet spoke with Stockton and other experts from about the Everett, Wash.-based company about the growing interest in E911 services. More and more companies are tapping Software-as-a-Service models because of the ease of deployment and the continuous support that they offer.
In addition to customizing loaders that can process and format data from any database that can house location information, 911 ETC can also help customers automate and schedule their data so they only need to maintain their current location details when a phone is moved, Stockton said.
“We take into consideration not only the best way to implement the customer’s E911 initially, but we also help to ensure and develop a plan with the customer to make sure the data is moving forward so it doesn’t slip through the cracks. We want to make sure the data is always reported.”
