911 ETC Heading to Enterprise Connect to Spread the Word on Avaya DevConnect Program

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

Next week, hundreds of forward-thinking companies in the communications industry will head to Orlando, Fla., to take part in Enterprise Connect (News - Alert), an annual event focusing on the ways trends like unified communications, mobility, SIP trunking, the cloud and collaboration are changing business. But, for one company in particular, the premier enterprise conference and expo has perfect timing.

Only two weeks ago, 911 ETC (News - Alert), a provider of E911 hosted solutions, revealed that it became one of eight Avaya partners to be selected among hundreds of DevConnect (News - Alert) compliance-tested solutions for Avaya’s DevConnect Select Product Program, a new initiative designed to streamline the way customers purchase Avaya-compatible third-party collaboration applications.

By being a part of the program, 911 ETC now has the opportunity to place direct orders of DevConnect Technology Partner applications from Avaya (News - Alert) and its distributors, rather than ordering through DevConnect partner companies or their resellers and eliminating the need for copious vendor relationships and transactions.

As an exclusive DevConnect partner, 911 ETC’s services integrate with nearly any platform in existence. CrisisConnect and Locate911-A are DevConnect compliance-tested with Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Session Manager, enabling companies to seamlessly implement and maintain a fully hosted and managed E911 solution that adheres to state legislation requirements.

Leading up to Enterprise Connect, where 911 ETC will be spreading the word about this recent designation, Regional Account Manager Tom Vorrius shared with TMCnet the company’s excitement on the matter.

“These are exciting times for 911 ETC as we are proud to announce 911 ETC has been chosen by the Avaya DevConnect program as the only ‘Select Partner’ in our Enhanced 911 class,” he said. “It’s nice to have an industry leader put their confidence in 911 ETC as a best-of-breed provider. Along with our business partner, Conveyant Systems, and advancements to our VoIP product line, we have created the perfect solution for E911 requirements.”

Fifteen years after its inception, 911 ETC continues to lead the pack in helping organizations ensure comprehensive E911 compliance for the ultimate safety of their personnel, and can attest to this with its hundreds of clients across the U.S. and Canada that continue to rely on the company for the implementation and maintenance of fully managed E911 solutions. As a provider of fully managed hosted services across more than 40 states and Canada, 911 ETC offers a comprehensive product portfolio that includes CrisisConnect for the enterprise, RedConnect for small businesses, VoIPConnect for IP, and SoftLoc for soft phone provisioning and on-site notification.

Last week, Avaya’s vice president of Developer Relations, Eric Rossman (News - Alert), explained to TMCnet that the company’s latest initiative is all about enabling its customer base.

“Customers, as well as channel partners, face a number of challenges simply due to the purchasing processes each has in place, from negotiating supplier agreements to incorporating new products and ordering codes in their management systems,” Rossman said. “For channel partners, there is often an additional investment in training and authorizations from a number of vendors that also comes into consideration when they look at new solutions.”

“This program streamlines the ordering process as the customers can order from their existing Avaya reseller and the Avaya reseller can add these solutions to their portfolio through their current business process,” he added. “As customers shift from buying products to solutions, Avaya has recognized the additional burden this places on both our channel partners and customers.  By allowing the customer to source multi-vendor elements through Avaya, we reduce the impact to their organizations, allowing business leaders to act expediently.”

According to Vorrius, Enterprise Connect is the perfect venue to help 911 ETC present its commitment to enhancing the delivery of E911 solutions across organizations and enterprises.

“EnterpriseConnect has always provided 911 ETC with an environment of educated attendees looking to deliver the best and most cost-effective services for their organizations whether for TDM, VoIP or Remote User applications. We look forward to this year’s participation and will be available to discuss these options at the show.”
