Conveyant Systems Unveils Sentry E911 Solutions for Avaya Aura/Communication Manager

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

This week, experts and executives from leading E911 hosted solutions companies are convening at the first-ever International Avaya (News - Alert) Users Group (IAUG) to further the cause of next-generation 911 deployment and promote the compatibility of E911 with industry standards.

An IAUG participant and telecommunications industry leader, Conveyant (News - Alert) Systems unveiled last week its Sentry E911 Solutions for the Avaya Aura/Communications Manager. Conveyant Systems is now demonstrating Sentry, and how it can help organizations maximize 911 call management, at booth No. 609, at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

The Sentry E911 solution for the Avaya Aura/Communications Manager joins Conveyant Systems’ robust portfolio of PC-based attendant console applications and E911 solutions for call handling and database data-intensive applications for the PBX (News - Alert), Centrex and VoIP sector.

Through the provision of critical location information and on-site notification when a 911 emergency call is placed, Sentry’s call handling capability serves as a reliable tool for helping enterprises and their customers achieve complete safety during an emergency.

“Our latest integration to the Avaya Aura/CM broadens our existing portfolio, and provides purpose built, cost-effective 911 solutions to the entire Avaya user community regardless of the voice infrastructure,” said Tim Kenyon, president of Conveyant Systems. “Sentry offers customization and flexibility to enterprises, and can assist them in meeting E911 regulations.”

This first-ever IAUG Conference will also feature personal insight from top Avaya executives into the company’s consolidated product plans; an exhibit hall showcasing enterprise communications and services designed to complement Avaya and heritage Nortel (News - Alert) solutions; general and breaking sessions featuring both Avaya executives and informational lectures; networking opportunities and a presentation of the IAUG Professional Development Certificate Program.

Back in April, as reported by TMCnet, Conveyant Systems unveiled the Sentry E911 hosted solutions app for the Avaya CS 1000 PBX to deliver to enterprises cost-effective solutions for maximizing 911 call management and safeguarding infrastructure and customers during an emergency.
