DIDX Podcast: Jim Van Meggelen Highlights Asterisk Book Sequel
By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor
Van Meggelen told Bowen that the book “went together really well” as the writers complimented one another in terms of skills and abilities. And he revealed that they will begin working on the third edition of the book.
“Frankly the current version of the book is really out of date... It has been translated into several languages including Russian, German and English. It did take an enormous amount of effort among developer contributors and the authors to create it. We are working on the third edition,” Van Meggelen said.
With the latest work, Van Meggelen noted, they are encouraging people who want to help out with technical reviews and for members of the worldwide audience to comment on the relevancy of their work from their countries' technology and regulatory space.
In addition to this podcast series, Bowen will also be interviewing a number of companies to create a database of IP communications companies that offer in-kind and financial support for nonprofit organizations including Activeport, Ingate, Global Crossing (News - Alert) and more.
Bowen can be reached via LinkedIn at http://www.linkedin.com/in/suzannebowen regarding donor IP communications companies and nonprofit organizations.
