Company officials attribute the achievement to its investment in data center infrastructure, engineering support, and backbone providers. Its multi-homed network is fueled by premium tier 1 carriers such as Sprint, Saavis, Telia, NLayer, Global Crossing (News - Alert), and Level3 and DedicatedNOW offers easy access to backbone providers for optimum network bandwidth.
Network Uptime is the total time in a calendar month that DedicatedNOW network is available through the Internet, provided that client has established connectivity. The company has guaranteed that their network will be available to clients free of Network Outages that render 100 percent packet loss, 99.9 percence of each calendar month.
Jason Silverglate, CEO of DedicatedNOW, commented that the facility is safeguarded by redundant Libert CRAC units that are kept at an optimal temperature to ensure hardware and network components are consistently running properly. Their cooling systems offer an accurate and reliable control of humidity, airflow, and room temperature that improves the working conditions for delicate electronic equipment.
The company’s network runs on their own dark fiber ring connecting their two redundant pops in 111 8th in New York City and 165 Halsey in Equinix, N.J. and their core consists of Dual Cisco (News - Alert) 6509 SUP720-3BXL routers, fully meshed to multiple aggregation switches for maximum uptime.
