In today’s technologically rich world, in which information and communication flow freely, it can be easy to take certain solutions for granted, but interoperability does not magically present itself—it must be developed. Whether managing data, running analytics systems or creating new applications for business, corporations need a platform that will support all of their needs without limiting their access to other databases.
HiT Software, a division of data management provider BackOffice Associates, specializes in data replication and change data capture (CDC) solutions for heterogeneous database environments—that is, environments working with multiple systems and platforms to create a seamless experience. HiT recently announced that its flagship product, DBMoto 8.2, is now SAP (News - Alert)-certified for integration with the SAP HANA platform. HANA, which stands for “High-Performance Analytic Appliance,” is a widely used relational database management system capable of handling both high transaction rates and intensive query processing for enterprise-level corporations. For increased accessibility, the platform also comes in the form of an embedded Web server on which corporations can develop applications using JavaScript and HTML.
BackOffice Associates already has an established relationship with SAP, making the new announcement through HiT a logical next step. BackOffice is currently a member of the SAP Consulting Partner Program for North America, an SAP services partner in the SAP PartnerEdge program, a global SAP OEM partner and an SAP channel partner in the SAP PartnerEdge program in the U.S., Canada, Singapore and Australia. By becoming certified interoperable with SAP HANA, DBMoto 8.2 can now be used to connect SAP HANA with other database platforms in real time, strengthening the interoperability of SAP and BackOffice’s offerings.
“The certified integration of the DBMoto 8.2 ETL tool with SAP HANA helps organizations get quicker and easier access to their critical data assets,” said Rex Ahlstrom, chief strategy officer of BackOffice Associates. “This is an additional key integration with SAP software to enable business-ready data for data migration and information governance projects.”
DBMoto 8.2 is available directly through the HiT Software division of BackOffice, as well as through its trusted network of partners and resellers.
