With the ever-increasing importance of corporate data, companies are becoming fussy when it comes to partnering with any data center service provider for securely storing and protecting their sensitive data. Venyu is one data center service provider that has been addressing the data center needs of a high profile clientele in Louisiana for as long as 25 years.
Committed to store, protect and power these critical customer resources, the company places great emphasis on building up the most advanced, secure, redundant data center infrastructure. In view of ever-growing demands for its business continuity, data protection and disaster recovery services, the company decided to expand its Baton Rouge-based data center facility. The new facility is expected to significantly add to the company’s total storage capacity and make it better equipped to handle the complexities associated with storing their customers’ priceless assets.
The 15,000 sq. ft. facility boasts an array of advanced features including redundant power distribution, climate control and fire suppression capabilities. As with Venyu's other data centers, the company's new facility guarantees the highest levels of security, Venyu officials noted in a statement.
For this facility, Venyu has reportedly leveraged an innovative infrastructure design that includes new power and generator systems, hot/cold air isle containment and management, an expanded network and systems infrastructure and concurrent maintenance accessibility to all critical infrastructure components. The other state of the art features include biometric access and dual authentication at all entrances.
The newly expanded facility is scheduled to open its doors in April 2014.
“Protecting our customer's data and ensuring its availability is our only business. That's why we place such an emphasis on the infrastructure to store, protect, and power these critical customer resources. As customers require more compute resources, storage and power, the complexity and capacity requirements of our facilities increase -- we continue to address these needs by expanding to stay ahead of demand,” CEO of Venyu Scott Thompson noted in a statement.
Baton Rouge-based Woman's Hospital, one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the nation recognized throughout the country for innovative programs for superior care of women and infants, selected Venyu data center and data backup and recovery services to ensure its preparedness for emergencies post-Hurricane Katrina.
