Server Technology, which designs and manufactures products to reduce downtime and improve data center power management, has been chosen as one of the selected vendors involved in building InteropNet for Interop Las Vegas 2011. A complete list of selected providers was released today, and they will power Interop’s specialized cutting-edge temporary network.
InteropNet supplies a reliable, high-speed network for attendees and exhibitors throughout the entire conference center. The event is planned for May 8-12, 2011.
Server Technology’s (News - Alert) Calvin Nicholson, director of software and strategic alliances, commented on his company’s involvement with InteropNet. “InteropNet participation allows Server Technology to work closely, in an informal environment, with many of the top technical companies in the world, ensuring a level of interoperability across a number of key technologies and partner vendors within the NOC (News - Alert) environment. We are excited about the opportunity to once again participate and be involved in Interop, as it has continued to be a worthwhile activity for our organization.”
Cloud, virtualization, mobile, and other technologies are rapidly creating a dramatically new environment, and IT organizations have to discover how to address changing business practices in order to overcome business challenges.
"For 25 years, Interop has brought leading vendors together to build a showcase network to foster interoperability and quicken the adoption of emerging technologies," said Interop General Manager Lenny Heymann. "This year's InteropNet participants play a key role in highlighting innovation and giving Interop attendees the confidence to incorporate the latest solutions into their own networks."
Attendees at the event, produced by UBM TechWeb (News - Alert), experience innovations firsthand through a state-of-the-art, wide-scale deployment and interactive lab environment. The network is built in collaboration with vendors and volunteers who come together to create a totally interoperable network using cutting-edge technology. It demonstrates how to design, deploy, and manage a multivendor, converged network. Best-practice methodologies are used to provide a viable implementation and reference model for networks that can satisfy current and future business requirements.
Recently, Server Technology, responding to demand for customized power measuring and monitoring solutions, introduced 18 cabinet power distribution units, adding 120 products to the company’s product line with the options available for the new products.
