For advanced solutions that will streamline operations and improve safety for the entire City, Cocoa, Fla. has partnered with an industry leader in public sector software.

To meet their financial management, public safety and emergency response needs, the City of Cocoa has signed a contract to license New World Systems' Aegis/MSP Public Safety and Logos.NET (News - Alert) Public Administration Solutions.

The city, with the help of New World's solutions will be able to improve reporting and access to information, while saving time and providing more advanced tools to Cocoa Police and emergency responders.

The officials of the City, in an in-depth evaluation of software vendors, found that New World provides the best combination of technology, solutions and superior service and support to meet their Public Safety and Public Administration requirements. The City, by selecting New World, has a unique opportunity to take advantage of integrated solutions developed and supported by a single proven company.

"New World offers a robust software package for both Public Safety and Public Administration," Jessica Dovale, police technology manager, said. "During our evaluation, we saw a lot of vendors that could do one but not both as successfully as New World. They provide a Tier One solution and have a lot of happy customers throughout the State of Florida."

"The level of customer service displayed by New World's staff and the high caliber of the solutions they offer met all of our needs," Deputy Police Chief Bobby Jones, said.

Using proven Microsoft (News - Alert) and Microsoft.NET technology, industry-standard Windows Server and SQL Server, both solutions have been developed. The completely integrated solutions with built-in electronic workflow will help streamline business processes, improve access to information for employees and reduce paperwork for the City.

By eliminating redundant data entry for both the City and Police Department, the solutions will also help to save. Access to location information for the Police Department during emergencies and everyday utility management and community development operations for the City will be improved by embedded mapping capabilities.

Reporting and analysis for both the Police Department and City Hall will be dramatically improved by Logos.NET Business Analytics and fast, flexible and accurate reporting in both solutions.

According to Deputy Chief Jones, New World's software will allow the Police Department to perform crime analysis and better analyze statistics to improve crime prevention efforts.

"We were looking for a solution that is faster and user-friendly with up-to-date technology," Wendy Widmann, Director of Administrative Services, said. "New World's software will make our employees more efficient with easy access to important information when they need it. Our users are very excited about all the features New World's software offers."

The City of Cocoa will utilize New World's solutions to increase efficiency and better serve more than 16,700 citizens. City officials are looking forward to a long relationship with New World.

"New World is the only company I know of that has a long history of providing proven and technologically advanced enterprise solutions for both public safety and city government," Mark Prevost, New World's Vice President of Marketing, said. "We have numerous customers across the country who for years have enjoyed the benefits of using New World's fully integrated Microsoft.NET solutions to meet both their public safety as well as all of their public administration needs. We're thrilled to add Cocoa to the growing list of cities and counties who, when they complete their research and due diligence, realize hands down that New World, for so many reasons, is the company they want to partner with."

"New World was a top competitor when we evaluated their solutions ten years ago," Dovale, said. "While many other vendors have disappeared, been acquired or changed focus, New World is still a top vendor today. It is important to find a solution provider with this kind of proven stability."

For public safety and public administration organizations since 1981, New World Systems, a public sector software company in Troy, Michigan, has provided software solutions.

In related news, New World Systems, the major player in public sector software solutions, has announced that the Company's world-class Professional Services and Support teams have helped more than a dozen public safety agencies successfully bring over 45 different mission-critical applications live and into full operational service since January 2010.
