Linvio's PaymentConnect Integrated with FinancialForce Accounting for Improved Customer Service Software

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Linvio’s PaymentConnect eCommerce framework has been integrated with FinancialForce Accounting on Force.com, according to this announcement from Linvio, Inc. and FinancialForce.com.Force.com is the cloud computing platform from salesforce.com.

Now that this combined solution is available on this platform, users have access to the only native end-to-end order management, accounting and eCommerce solution available to salesforce.com customers.

"We are already receiving a lot of interest for this combined solution as companies look to add e-commerce functionality to Salesforce CRM and FinancialForce Accounting," said Ron Wild, president and CTO of Linvio, Inc., in a statement. "Businesses are looking for ways to run their entire operations in the cloud and we're delighted to have a solution that makes that possible.

"This latest application provides Salesforce users with comprehensive accounting functionality. PaymentConnect also adds support for managing ePayments, building payment-based workflow automation, and integrating services such as those provided by PayPal, Google (News - Alert) Checkout, Authorize.Net and RBS Worldpay.

When combined together, these products connect invoicing to online payments and also record processed payments against entries in the general ledger. The framework in the PaymentConnect offers modules from Linvio and other third-party ISVs that deliver out-of-the-box support for Force.com integrated shopping carts, event management, software license management and non-profit donation management.

"PaymentConnect is a very powerful and easy-to-use application that does exactly what it is supposed to do -- process and manage payments," said Dave Venancio, senior manager at Den-Mat Holdings, Inc., a customer benefiting from the combined solution. "Within hours, PaymentConnect was able to process payments within our native Salesforce applications and soon thereafter within our custom Force.com applications.

Using PaymentConnect with FinancialForce Accounting, we can automatically post cash receipts and refunds and now manage our customer service and financials end-to-end on the Force.com platform."Companies operating in the B2B space can automate their entire order to payment process, while B2C companies can publish product catalogues and native Salesforce store fronts or connect existing shopping cart solutions hosted outside of the Salesforce environment.

"With the combined solution, Linvio and Financialforce.com are delivering value to salesforce.com customers and truly making the accounting process easier and more reliable," said Debbie Ashton, vice president, product at Financialforce.com.

Now that the integration with FinancialForce Accounting is in place, reconciliation of both one-time and recurring payments to the ledger is simplified. Invoices can be paid quickly and efficiently from within the Salesforce CRM application with entries automatically generated within the FinancialForce Accounting.
