NetSuite, a vendor of on-demand, integrated business management software suites, has announced that the Electronics Division of ACAL, a worldwide electronics distributor, has deployed NetSuite OneWorld.
The NetSuite ( News - Alert) OneWorld provides customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and e-commerce for mid-market enterprises and divisions of large companies.
ACAL was seeking a system that would provide a single accessible view of customer data in their global CRM system and could be accessed from anywhere and at any time.
The company said that it selected NetSuite because it not only met its requirements but also was able to pull its eleven European subsidiaries into one consolidated system.
With this deployment of NetSuite OneWorld, ACAL can now manage multiple subsidiaries and multi-currency operations in one consolidated sales view. Previously, the company had separate sales and customer systems across its European operations.
ACAL said that it has rolled out NetSuite OneWorld to more than 300 users across the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Iberia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Italy.
Company officials said that NetSuite OneWorld has enhanced their information sharing between regional subsidiaries. In addition, it has created consistent processes and a single, consolidated view of customers’ interactions with the company.
Moreover, across the entire business, ACAL has been able to establish a unified view of the sales pipeline by deploying NetSuite OneWorld. Also, NetSuite OneWorld has facilitated regional and global business consolidation with multi-currency management conversion.
“NetSuite is now the front end for all our sales activities,” said Simon Rush, divisional sales and marketing information manager at ACAL, adding that all of the customer-facing teams— telesales, customer service, direct field sales engineers and application engineers— use NetSuite to do their daily jobs.
Through a Web service, NetSuite is integrated with ACAL’s J.D. Edwards (Oracle ( News - Alert)) system which manages the company’s ERP activities.
Additionally, ACAL is also using NetSuite’s Advanced Analytics module. The module, officials said, makes it easier to view reports that reflect the status of the entire business.
“ACAL operates in a market that is experiencing tough economic conditions but we are outperforming the market and that, in part, is due to NetSuite,” said Nick Rudge, CIO at ACAL.
In the near future, ACAL plans to automate its lead generation process into NetSuite’s business management software.
The release has been fully localized for the accounting rules, usage conventions, regulations and taxation compliance of the Japanese market, according to NetSuite. This new ERP functionality, combined with NetSuite’s SaaS customer relationship management (CRM) and e-commerce capabilities, make it possible for Japanese companies to run the core aspects of their business completely in the cloud.
