CRM Vendor Sage Says PeopleCube On Board As Client
By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Sage Software (News - Alert) has announced that PeopleCube, a vendor of on-demand Human Process Management products, is using an integrated SageCRM (customer relationship management)/Sage Accpac ERP (enterprise resource planning)/Sage Accpac Insight system to provide sales forecasting and customer account visibility for its employees located throughout the U.S. and Europe.
PeopleCube officials say they've achieved "significant time and resource reduction in sales forecast and account status reporting" since implementing their integrated Sage Software system this past July.
“Using our integrated Sage Software business management system, we can gather information for our monthly sales forecasts in a few minutes as opposed to the previous eight or more hours,” said Rick Boyink, PeopleCube vice president for North American sales.
With thousands of leads in an aging database, the company earlier this year decided to upgrade, and expected that it would deploy a hosted CRM system. The company evaluated a variety of hosted CRM offerings and found that SageCRM.com’s on-premises implementation option would actually be most beneficial.
"The hosted environment does not support our sophisticated method of data capture and transfer,” said Rick Boyink, PeopleCube vice president for North American sales.
Recently Software India has announced the appointment of Patni Computer Systems (News - Alert) Ltd. as Business Partner for positioning and implementing Sage CRM SalesLogix in India. With more than 300,000 users at over 7,300 companies, SalesLogix has a hefty slice of the CRM for mid-market companies and enterprises worldwide pie.
Sage Software India Managing Director Thomas Abraham said SalesLogix has over 45 customers in India across a number of verticals, and believes "With the Patni Computer Systems partnership, we hope to bring in world-class consulting expertise in the CRM space to Indian customers… The CRM opportunity in these businesses is huge."
Earlier this fall Sage announced the acquisition of intellectual property from VerticalFalls Software, Inc., a financial services industry solution provider based in Reston, Virginia, that will enable Sage Software to deliver what company officials are calling "a compliance and document tracking" product based on its ACT! by Sage product.
The new offering will be engineered to "meet the specialized needs of financial services organizations," company officials say.
Joe Bergera, ACT! senior vice president and general manager for Sage Software, said by integrating ACT! with the acquired VerticalFalls technology, the CRM vendor hopes to "deliver business critical contact management and compliance features that brokerage firms, financial advisors and others in the financial services industry need in today's marketplace."
At the end of October Sage announced the establishment of its Saudi operation, based in Riyadh.
