NetSuite Receives Industry Recognition for its CRM Solutions

By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Senior Editor

Not all customer relationship management (CRM) solutions are created equal. The best offer robust feature sets in easy-to-use packages that are affordable not only for large enterprises but mid-sized firms as well. One sure sign that a CRM solution lives up to its hype is receiving positive industry feedback, and such is the case with two of NetSuite’s offerings.

NetSuite (News - Alert) CRM has the honor of being named best mid-range software, based on votes from customers in the U.K. This recognition was bestowed upon NetSuite CRM as part of Sift Media’s Software Satisfaction Award 2008 program. NetSuite also received recognition for its CRM+ solution, named best enterprise software. In both categories, the company beat out larger competitors including Sage Software and Salesforce.com.

CRM+ is a complete customer lifecycle management solution that goes beyond standard CRM to deliver marketing and sales force automation, customer support and service, and a variety of other features based on NetSuite’s SuiteFlex platform.

Capabilities of CRM+ include the ability to generate sales orders, automate support for cross-selling and up-selling, pre-configure dashboards, manage commissions, generate sales orders, conduct integrated e-mail marketing, and create estimates/quotes.

NetSuite CRM is an online business application that supports all aspects of running a company, from accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) to e-commerce to CRM. It’s designed to help companies make faster, better decisions using real-time business intelligence.

Sift Media’s Software Satisfaction Awards program was established in 2006, and recognizes software application providers that serve businesses in the U.K. Awards are given based on feedback from buyers and end-users of software products. For 2008, Sift received a record number of votes, and many of the winning companies — NetSuite included — offer applications delivered using the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) business model.

“U.K. customers have spoken, and they have selected NetSuite as the number-one CRM product on the market,” said the company’s CEO, Zach Nelson (News - Alert), in a statement. “These results are no surprise to us, particularly our win over Sage, but we truly appreciate the support and recognition of our customers and we thank them for their efforts.”

The Sift Media awards represent merely the latest in a series of recent industry recognitions for NetSuite. Earlier this month, the company was ranked #22 on Deloitte’s (News - Alert) Technology Fast 50 list of Silicon Valley software and information technology companies, based on its very impressive 3,039 percent revenue growth between 2003 and 2007.

Earlier this year, in July, the company’s NetSuite 2007 product won a Communications Solutions 2007 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation. The award was given to recognize NetSuite’s innovations, fitting into the award program’s goal to honor companies that offer solutions facilitating voice, data and video communications.
