NetSuite Intros New On-Demand Enterprise Application for Services Resource Planning

NetSuite (News - Alert), a vendor of CRM solutions and integrated business management software suites, recently unveiled a new on-demand enterprise application, Service Resource Planning (SRP).
 
NetSuite SRP is an enterprise solution for the overall management of professional services business. Some of the key service businesses functionalities that NetSuite SRP can perform include project management, marketing management, service delivery, billing, revenue management, and driving repetitive business from existing clients.
 
Following the recent acquisition of OpenAir, a Boston-based provider of software as a service’ (SaaS’ (News - Alert)) services automation software, NetSuite integrated its business management suite with OpenAir’s services automation software, in order to develop NetSuite SRP. This combined technologies enables organizations to automate their professional services and project-based businesses.
 
IDC (News - Alert) research shows the market opportunity around automation for project-based businesses growing to $1.5 billion by 2010 and the integrated offering of NetSuite and OpenAir is ideally suited to address that market need,” said Mike Fauscette, group vice president for software business solutions at IDC, in a statement.
 
NetSuite also announced plans to enable its qualified channel partners and solution providers to re-sell and service all OpenAir products and NetSuite SRP. This announcement is a good opportunity for NetSuite channel partners and other channel businesses to show-off their position as a trusted advisor to companies, who are intending to automate a critical part of their business.
 
NetSuite identified some of the key benefits of NetSuite SRP, which include reduced total cost of ownership, real-time visibility, tailor made business processes, merics-driven process management. enterprise scalability, and global support.
 
NetSuite SRP, being an on-demand suite, enables the delivery of tailor-made Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business solutions to address the key requirements of the services industry. Deploying such an SaaS suite for all core aspects of a project-based business reduces the need for hardware, maintenance and IT personnel costs, resulting in lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The NetSuite SRP also facilitates for expansion of a company’s business based on recurring revenue model.
 
Real-time visibility within an organization plays a key role in delivering high-quality client management. With the help of NetSuite SRP, data flows seamlessly from department to department: sales to services, services to finance, and finance to sales.
 
The integration between NetSuite and OpenAir in NetSuite SRP eliminates redundant data entry, increasing productivity. The on-demand application has the capability to customize itself, in order to enable organizations to accommodate specific business rules and workflows, thanks to NetSuite's SuiteFlex tools.
 
Organizations can leverage NetSuite SRP to make timely, fact-based course corrections with dashboard analytics ranging from resource and project management, to key performance indicators (KPIs), graphical report snapshots, trend graphs and scorecards.
 
NetSuite SRP also features isolated-tenancy dedicated database, sandbox test environment, and round-the-clock global customer support.
