CRM Software Provider NetSuite Unveils SuiteCloud Version 2.0

Last week during SuiteCloud 2010 CRM software provider NetSuite Inc. announced availability of SuiteCloud 2.0, the new version of its cloud development platform used for building and deploying powerful cloud-based business applications.


According to company sources SuiteCloud 2.0 enables enterprises to leverage the economic, productivity and innovation benefits of cloud computing such as multi-tenant, always-on SaaS (News - Alert) infrastructure and scalable, tightly integrated applications for Accounting/ERP, CRM and Ecommerce.

It also encompasses several development tools, services and third-party software designed to help customers, independent software vendors or ISVs and channel businesses to meet dynamic business process needs.

NetSuite's (News - Alert) tightly integrated technology stack helps SuiteCloud 2.0 to deliver several features that increases its flexibility and makes the cloud application development platform very cost-effective. The new features included in version 2.0 are true application management in the cloud, seamless cloud-to-cloud integration with single sign-on authentication and new graphical workflow management software. This enables users to quickly point and click for creating and altering custom workflows to support real-time execution of business practices.

In a release NetSuite CEO, Zach Nelson (News - Alert) said "These innovations effectively put to rest any remaining misconceptions about the emerging dominating power of the cloud. Since its inception, cloud computing has proven to be disruptive and transformative, beginning with its impact on IT cost reduction and continuing with its ability to help companies focus on building and improving the core processes that really move the needle on productivity."

"SuiteCloud's new capabilities for cloud-to-cloud integration, graphical application customization and application management, mark the cloud's ability to transform how companies innovate," Nelson added.

Company sources said that using SuiteCloud, NetSuite's customers, developers and channel partners will be able to transform static businesses into real-time enterprises with the ability to monitor, analyze and alter key operating processes to address changing challenges and opportunities.

Mike Fauscette, Group Vice President, Software Business Solutions, Integration, Development and Application Strategies at IDC (News - Alert) pointed out that the advances in SuiteCloud 2.0 provide several advantages for ISVs and developers who are desirous of implementing cloud computing solutions to expand their practices into new verticals. Netsuite cloud computing platform offers optimized enterprise functionality making it suitable for complex business processes.
