CRM software provider NetSuite has named Gary Wiessinger, formerly with QuickBooks developer Intuit (News - Alert), as its new vice president of product management.
Wiessinger has more than 12 years of management experience in the software industry, including nine years at Intuit.
Most recently served as director of product management for Intuit’s Mid Market Group. For four years, he led the vision, strategy, and product management of Intuit's mid-market product line, including QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions and the Intuit Enterprise Suite. During that time he helped the company increase its mid-market sales and customer base. He led several product teams and drove a number of new releases, including four software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) offerings.
Previously, he helped lead the verticalization of the QuickBooks product line and was senior product manager of the QuickBooks Contractor Edition, Intuit's first major QuickBooks vertical launch. Earlier in his career, Wiessinger was a vice president in finance and systems at Bank of America.
In his new role, Wiessinger will spearhead product strategy and lead the product management team for NetSuite's (News - Alert) Accounting/enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and Ecommerce software suites, as well as its SuiteCloud platform.
NetSuite is expected to announce its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2009 on Thursday, February 4, 2010. NetSuite will host a conference call to discuss the results at 2 pm PST (5 pm EST) the same day. Dial-in information for the call and a live webcast will be available at www.netsuite.com/investors.
