CRM Cloud Computing Platform Now Equipped with Visual Process Manager from Salesforce

By Kelly McGuire, TMCnet Editor

Customer relationship management, or “CRM,” software provider, Salesforce.com’s premier CRM cloud computing platform, Force.com, has been receiving quite the warm welcome lately from various companies, industry reviews and top market segments looking to deploy an award winning solution.

In addition to just a widely deployed system, the CRM cloud computing platform is constantly evolving. And the recent news that hit the wires proves just that.

The company recently announced the availability of Force.com’s Visual Process Manager, a new capability that allows users to automate any business process in a rapid time table.

According to Salesforce.com’s (News - Alert) Executive Vice President of Marketing and Alliances, George Hu, the new Force.com Visual Process Manager is another example of why Force.com has become the cloud computing platform of choice in the enterprise.

“By eliminating the cost and complexity of legacy on-premise platforms like .NET (News - Alert), Websphere, and Lotus Notes, Force.com's multitenant approach helps enterprises build apps five times faster and at half the cost,” Hu said.

Now, customers using this system can – for the first time – visually design any complex business process with an intuitive design tool that will permit new processes to instantly run in the cloud.

And, since the release, it seems the process is being accepted with open arms by leading industry execs and organizations.

“The use of Force.com Visual Process Manager furthers Saveology.com’s goal of consolidating our technology architecture and moving more of our business processes into the cloud leveraging the Force.com platform,” said Barry Newman, vice president of IT, Saveology.com. “We continue to see improvements in productivity and time to market for new offerings and processes.”

Catering to many industries, spanning from telecom to financing to manufacturing, can now equip their systems with a less complicated way to automate business processes that connect employees, customers and the operations.

“With Force.com Visual Process Manager, organizations can now build business process applications with greater flexibility and automate processes across all departments,” Salesforce.com officials said.

And, being able to automate the processes in the cloud, no paperwork or hardware, clogging up space and adding extra time, is needed. This way, business tasks can be taken care of all in the Force.com cloud, including:
  • Sales: Call scripting and sales methodology automation
  • Service: Customer issue resolution and product returns
  • Finance: Billing and collections
  • HR: Employee onboarding and performance management
  • Legal: Contract management and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Operations: Surveys and supplier management
For THINKstrategies Managing Director, Jeffrey M. Kaplan, building and managing business processes with on-premise software has been needlessly complex and costly, requiring too much custom code and expensive infrastructure.

But, not anymore.

“Force.com Visual Process Manager offers an easy-to-use process design tool that organizations can use on a pay-as-you-go basis to more quickly and cost-effectively build and manage business processes via the cloud,” Kaplan said.
