Integrate Contacts on Salesforce.com and Outlook with Free App from RedCritter
By Kelly McGuire, TMCnet Editor
There’s no argument that there are a lot of products, systems and applications available to users in the telecom industry.
But, how many of these are free to users? Not too many, I know.
However, RedCritter Corp., a cloud computing platform, software-as-a-service provider, announced the availability of its free “sfContacts” application which allows users to copy contacts between Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook and Salesforce.com.
According to Erika Lamber, vice president of marketing at RedCritter, the free application will help keep contacts in sync between the two systems.
“No one enjoys re-entering contact data,” Lambert said. “sfContacts is extremely handy in team environments. It makes it easy to keep contacts entered by various co-workers current in the two systems.”
By eliminating the double entry of contacts for each system, the application is an instant productivity booster for users that work with both systems.
And, as a highly deployed and widely circulated customer relationship management, or “CRM,” system, Salesforce.com’s (News - Alert) large customer base will surely reap the benefits while syncing up their contacts with the widely used professional e-mail system.
The sfContacts App is the first example of a RedCritter App that was built using RedCritter’s recently released RedCritter Salesforce.com API for Silverlight. Additional free Salesforce.com Apps built by third party developers will also soon be available in the RedCritter App Gallery.
The application is available immediately for free on RedCritter’s Web site.

Now, that’s a rarity.
