Avaya Now Enables Utility-Based, Opex Pricing for Cloud Service Providers

Avaya (News - Alert), a provider of unified communications and collaboration solutions, has enhanced Avaya Collaborative Cloud offerings for cloud service providers specializing in unified communications (UC), contact center and video communications.


The cloud offering now comes with flexible choices and pricing models so communications providers can tailor the services to create new revenue streams. The service helps cloud communications providers deliver open, mobile collaboration and multichannel customer service to enterprise customers and contact center outsourcing providers.

Avaya Collaborative Cloud includes a variety of solutions designed to address the requirements of global enterprises looking for an operational expense (opex) approach to communications and collaboration application and solution enablement, Avaya officials said. Leveraging the new capabilities, partners and customers can build, manage, enable and deliver Avaya solutions through cloud-based delivery models.

An important component of the cloud offering, Avaya Cloud Enablement for Unified Communications and Customer Experience Management, now offers flexible, utility-based, opex pricing for CSPs. Avaya Control Manager enables multi-tenancy with an easy to use centralized management and administrative segmentation tool.

Avaya Cloud Enablement for Video helps cloud service providers deliver interoperable multi-vendor video collaboration on a highly scalable open platform. The Video as a Service (VaaS) comes with increased scalability and enhanced BYOD videoconferencing capabilities that can be available on any endpoint.

Avaya Communications Outsourcing Solutions (COS) Express, another component of the cloud service offering, is a standardized private cloud offering that can be hosted by Avaya, a CSP (News - Alert) or channel partner for the end customer. The first edition of COS Express focuses on contact center deployments for businesses with up to 500 concurrent agents.

Avaya Collaborative Cloud solutions also include: Avaya Collaboration Pods and the AvayaLive. Avaya Collaboration Pods is a portfolio of cloud-ready, turnkey solutions that simplify installation and operations of real-time applications. AvayaLive is a suite of unique, public cloud-based communications and collaboration services.

"With Avaya Collaborative Cloud, cloud service providers can offer a differentiated UC, contact center or video solution to enterprises,” said Joel Hackney (News - Alert), SVP and general manager, Cloud Solutions, Avaya, in a statement.

“Avaya's highly flexible pricing and options for hosting and branding, along with the known quality of Avaya solutions present a compelling, revenue-generating opportunity for CSPs to adopt and extend Avaya Collaborative Cloud offers to their business customers," Hackney added.
