Conference Plus, Inc., a subsidiary of Westell Technologies (News - Alert), Inc., and a global enabler of conferencing solutions, launched the new version of its online content management tool, Share Portal.
Share Portal offers on-demand access for archived conference calls, webinars, and other multimedia files. The new version has several enhancement, which according to the company, are designed to give customers the ability to upload external files, including multimedia, training documents, and sales presentations. Once uploaded, customers can then publish their files to secure Web pages to share and redistribute as they see fit.
'With the growing need for content management tools, we wanted to offer our customers a user friendly interface tailored specific to their conferencing needs,' Tim Reedy, president and CEO, at ConferencePlus (News - Alert) said. 'Share Portal expands the usefulness and extends the life of our customers' content -- giving them one place to manage and engage with their audiences, after the call or event has ended.'
Share Portal is said to serve as an effective tool to promote content and further engage audiences through social sharing and repurposing of content. Published content can be easily organized to promote live and on-demand events and programs. The new functionality included in this release adds to an already robust feature set.
Additionally, the Share Portal content management tool automatically is said to store audio conferences, Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Live Meeting recordings, Cisco WebEx recordings, and event registrations from ConferencePlus' Event Manager Service.
'Our customers rely on us to not only execute their calls and meetings perfectly, but to also provide a secure place for post conference interaction and content sharing,' said Reedy.
'We plan to continually add more enhancements to make it easier for clients to share their content and engage on social platforms long after the initial conversation has ended,' Reedy added.
