Finding Cost Savings with Affordable Conference Call Services

By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor

During a time when companies are more mindful about their budgets, organizations are increasingly adopting conference call services. Businesses are leveraging the technology to stay productive and conduct in-person meetings without the hassle or cost burden associated with traveling.

With the prevalence of the Internet these days, anyone with a broadband connection and a browser can join or host a Web conference or video conference. Companies no longer are required to install Internet meeting software and buy expensive equipment to take advantage of Internet-based meetings.

During a weak economy, businesses are keeping a watchful eye on their budgets. To help with the goal, several conferencing service providers, including Eagle Conferencing, have reduced their costs. Company officials said they cut prices to respond to customer requests.

Eagle Conferencing, a Manhattan- and Bangalore-based provider of full-service conferencing services, offers audio teleconferencing, video teleconferencing, or Web teleconferencing solutions. It gives customers and clients the ability to connect from across the globe – all without ever having to leave their office.

“Online conferencing will not break your budget,” Jackson Helms wrote in a blog posting. “In fact, when you add up the travel costs that you will save when you hold meetings online, the costs of this service become negligible.”

With conferencing services, companies can hold face-to-face meetings and help organizations stay connected no matter where employees are located. Executives no longer have to spend thousands of dollars on a travel budget or travel thousands of miles to attend a meeting. Instead, users can save time and money with conferencing services.

In addition, conference calls also help eliminate the number of corporate employees that travel by airplanes, cars and other modes transportation, reducing the amount of carbon emissions and use of fossil fuels. There’s another benefit to reduced travel. The use of audio and Web conferencing also can help users reduce the risk of contracting a virus, such as the H1N1 virus, or the so-called “swine flu,” by eliminating the need to travel.

Eagle Conferencing offer solutions that offer real-time communications that simulate face-to-face interactions. Such capabilities help to promote teamwork and the feeling of collaboration, company officials said.
A subsidiary of EagleNet companies, Eagle Teleconferencing provides facility-based teleconferencing services, including IVR and voicemail. With a capacity of more than 10 billion minutes annually, the company can connect groups or individuals any time, and anywhere – even if a company needs to conduct last-minute conference calls.
