Eagle Conferencing Donates Conference Call Services to U.K. Charities

In an effort to boost its charitable causes, a facility-based teleconferencing service provider has launched a new program to offer conferencing services in the United Kingdom.
Under the program, Eagle Conferencing, a company that specializes in conferencing, IVR, and voicemail services, will let U.K. charities operate audio conferences with India partners without incurring international call charges. Charity Technology Exchange, a firm that offers donated technology products from partners to eligible U.K. registered charities and charitable housing associations, is managing the effort.
Eagle Conferencing’s donation supports calls with up to 25 participants. Users can be based in either the United Kingdom or India, but they will only incur domestic call charges, officials said. The service will help charitable organizations communicate effectively and for at a less costly rate.
The donation is part of the company’s larger social responsibility goal, which emphasizes the fact that charitable efforts are important to the firm, officials said.
Kent Charugundla, founder and CEO of EagleNet Group, said the program complements the company’s existing donation program, which is managed by the NASSCOM Foundation in India.
“We are delighted to launch this program in the U.K.,” Kent Charugundla, founder and CEO of EagleNet Group, said. “We believe that the close ties between many U.K. charities and India will make this program extremely valuable to them. Communication is the life blood of any organization, and we are committed to helping U.K. charities reduce the cost and increase the effectiveness of their work with their Indian partners.”
Eagle Teleconferencing products offer conferencing solutions to help businesses maximize their communication efforts and save costs. The conference call solutions are especially useful during the economic downturn, since they can be set up at the last-minute and are available around-the-clock.
The company offers a pay-as-you-go pricing options and utility-grid type architecture so businesses can use conference calls and pay only for their usage. Eagle Teleconferencing also has a worldwide connection infrastructure, which includes the capacity of more than 10 billion minutes.
Eagle Conferencing, an affiliate of EagleNet companies, is no stranger to offering charitable program. Last fall, the company announced it partnered with the NASSCOM Foundation and TechSoup to offer free conferencing services for all non-profit organizations in the country.
“The conferencing solutions provided by Eagle have been instrumental in forming the communication backbone of our operations,” Rufina Fernandes, CEO, NASSCOM Foundation, said in a statement. “Allowing us the bridge facility to communicate with various NGOs and other organizations supports our delivery structure which has contributed in our efforts towards strengthening our efforts towards social development in India.”
Moreover, the company announced last February a free conference call trial in India for new customers, regardless of how many minutes they used. And last July, the firm said it would offer free conferencing services to victims of synchronized bombings that struck India.
